Present Simple Tense
The present simple tense is a verb tense which is used to talk about general facts, habits and actions that are true.
คือประโยคในภาษาอังกฤษที่มีโครงสร้างแบบง่ายๆ เพื่อใช้พูดถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในปัจจุบัน หรือเหตุการณ์ที่เป็นกิจวัตรประจำวัน เช่น
- I usually get up around 6 AM. ( daily routine = กิจวัตรประจำวัน)
- ฉันมักตื่นนอนตอน 6 โมงเช้า
โครงสร้างของประโยค Present Simple Tense
Subject (ประธานของประโยค) + Verb (กริยาช่องที่ 1)
Affirmative Negative
ประโยคบอกเล่า ประโยคปฏิเสธ
I work. I don't work.
ฉันทำงาน ฉันไม่ได้ทำงาน
You work. You don't work.
He works. He doesn't work.
She works. She doesn't work.
We work. We don't work.
You work. You don't work.
They work. They don't work.
Interogative Short Answer
ประโยคคำถาม คำตอบ
Do you work? Yes, I do.
No, I don't.
Do they work? Yes, they do.
No, they don't.
Does he work? Yes, he does.
No, he doesn't.
Does she work? Yes, she does.
No, she doesn't.
* Spelling for 3rd person singular
ถ้าประธานของประโยคเป็นเอกพจน์ (he/she/it/ Jane/ Tom) ต้องเติม -s หรือ -es หลังกริยา ดังนี้
- คำกริยาส่วนใหญ่สามารถเติม -s ได้ทันที เช่น
- เติม -es หลังคำกริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย
- คำกริยาที่มี พยัญชนะ อยู่หน้า y ให้ตัด y ออกแล้วเติม -ies
